Devin K-L, of Unity

I am a medicine man of The Way of Unity and young Knowledge keeper. The Way of Unity is a way of knowing and a way of Knowledge that has been revealed to me through Spirit. Through prayer, spiritual practice, persistence, and revelation I have been gifted the ability to bring the Knowledge of The Way of Unity into this world. As a medicine man of the Way of Unity I am work with the deities and good spirits as a devotee of Creator

I am a young global indigenous man. I am Sami by heritage and was raised in the teachings of the Anishinaabe and my Sami ancestry. I uphold the values of traditional indigenous wisdom and medicine and consider myself as a spiritual practitioner to ‘come from’ the Anishinaabe and the Sami

Throughout my life I have studied the philosophy and theology of many ways of knowing. I honor, with great respect, the value of the traditional Knowledge I have had the chance to learn. I have studied Christian Mysticism, Hindu Theology (and respect Krishna as a face of Creator), Kemetic Wisdom through the temple of Tehuti (Thoth), Buddhist philosophy, and others.

Throughout my life I have received many visions and have been taught by many spirits. Much of the Knowledge I seek to share also comes from the spirits who have taught me.

I am a man who has recovered, and is recovering, from addiction and mental illness. As aa youth I became lost in what my ancestors called No Man’s Land, the space between life and death. My spiritual work has also been my path of recovery.

Land Acknowledgement

I am a global indigenous medicine man with a strong connection to Mother Earth. I am Sami by heritage and was raised in First Nations community, having been adopted into Six Nations as a child. I am raised in the teachings of both my Sami ancestry and the First Nations. I acknowledge the land and earth as my bones and body. I acknowledge the wind as my breath and the water as my blood. I am an extension of Mother Earth and acknowledge Her life as my own.

This work is written on the land of Tkaronto. I acknowledge the first peoples and indigenous traditions of the land this work has been written on. I acknowledge that I am a global indigenous settler on this land that has faced so much suffering. I acknowledge the ongoing genocide that the First Nations peoples face. To share the Knowledge offered here would not have been possible if not seeded by the wisdom of the First Nations. I acknowledge those who are keeping the fire lit. I acknowledge the daily struggle of surviving generational traumas and colonization. I hope this work can help to make people see what has happened, and is still happening, on Turtle Island. I acknowledge that the land of Tkaronto and all of Turtle island has been stolen from the First Nations, its original stewards.

I acknowledge the suffering indigenous nations have faced globally. I acknowledge the colonization of my Sami ancestry and the persecution of the Wiccan way. I acknowledge all the persecution indigenous people have faced globally, even those I do not know. This work, The Way of Unity, is an acknowledgement of the wisdom of indigenous traditions. Every word written in The Way of Unity is a word of praise to the wisdom of indigenous medicine traditions.
