The Little Book of Self-Discovery is a 3× 8.5”x11” booklet, 12 pages, that offers a short journey of self-discovery so that everyone has access to the medicine of self-knowledge.

The Little Book of Self-Discovery, upon being finished, will be offered to and placed in hospital wards, local cafes, community centers, esoteric stores, etc… The booklet will include a dedicated webpage where people can share their thoughts and, in the long-run, a workshop that guides participants through the journey of self-discovery

As a Creative Writer I am looking for Visual Artists to collaborate with for The Little Book of Self-Discovery.

Previously completed works are welcome as long as they can be translated into digital format

Collaborators will receive credit in the booklet that leads back to their website or social media, a portfolio piece that doubles as an outreach tool, the PDF files to print their own copies, copies to bring to locations, and the potential to participate in or learn to facilitate the workshop that will eventually be offered with the booklet.

If you are interested in collaborating please email: DevinKLofUnity@WisdomandUnity.com

Page 1 - Title Page

Introduce wisdom as the application of Knowledge and as a pathway of healing. What lessons can you learn today?

Introduce self-knowledge as an important part of living a full life and the pursuit of self-knowledge as maintaining our alignment with who we were at birth. Do you know yourself? Do you know yourself beyond what the world has taught you?

Breaking down social conditioning to open a person to the discovery of self-knowledge

Who we truly are came before this world. To know who we truly are we have to look beyond what the world has taught us. We have to see how we see what the world has taught us instead of seeing how the world has taught us.

This page begin with explaining that we are designed to learn from the world we live in so that we can liv within the world, however we must, at some point in our life, look beyond the vision of ourself we have found within the world to find the fullness of our truth. To find and align with that truth fills our relationship with the world

Page 4 - Cont. Intro and Questioning Exercise

Introduction continues on this page and directs the reader to apply the following three exercises to answer the questions that are posed in the discovery page.

This page contains an exercise that directs a person to question the world and what they are taught in a way that allows the answer of their truth to emerge from within them

Page 5 - Insight and Seeking The Beauty Exercises

This page contains two exercises.

The first, Insight, challenges a person to develop insight regarding who they are, what is important to them, how they work with the world around them, what brings them peace. This exercise frames insight as a power we can wield to change our lives and that anyone at anytime can apply insight to create a better life.

The second exercise, Seeking he Beauty, challenges the reader to identify what is most pleasing to their heart. What is most pleasing to our heart is intertwined with our self-knowledge, for no two people experience beauty in the exact same way.

Page 6 - Discovery

This page directs a reader to apply the questioning and insight exercises to answer questions and discover themself.

What do you love? What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? What brings you rest? What does your vision of peace look like? What do you need to be able to liv your fullest life? What do you struggle with and how is that struggle connected to who you are?

This page contains more questions, challenges readers to apply the three exercises mentioned earlier, and states that if they are struggling to answer the questions they should apply the exercise shared later.

At the end of this page the reader is challenged to list three things who they truly are loves doing and to apply these actions as tools to self-actualize, as healing tools.

Page 7 - Discovery

This page introduces the Self as alignment with our pure sense of individuality and shares an exercise within which a reader calms themself and listens to their pure sense of individuality until the world fades away.

Through this exercise the reader is challenged to identify qualities of their Self

Page 8 - Actualization

This page challenges the reader to identify qualities of their Self.

Did you hear or experience anything in the exercise that’s worth acknowledging? Can you identify any qualities of your Self? (color, emotional nature, how you see the world) Is there anything that stops your from aligning with your Self-knowledge? Is there anything your Self needs that you may not have been aware of?

At the end of this page the reader is reminded of the tools they identified earlier and these tools are framed as extensions of their Self-knowledge.

Page 9 - Actualization

This page challenges the reader to create affirmations beginning with the phrase I AM. The reader is also challenged to apply imagery to create a affirmations from the phrase I AM like.

At the bottom: ‘A little bit of magic:

Consistently speak your affirmation while practicing the Understanding The Self exercise, and when the world has faded away. When you speak the affirmation outside of the practice, after having connected it to your Self, it will draw in your Self.
